How To Enter
Please Read Carefully
The Entry Form(s) should be carefully and legibly completed, signed and returned with your entry fee(s) to:- City to Casino Fun Run, PO Box 707, Glenorchy, 7010 by Fri 09/05/08, or entries can be dropped into The Mercury by Fri 09/05/08,12 noon or Hobart Sports Centre, up until Fri 16/05/08, 5.00pm. - Cheques made payable to: City to Casino Fun Run. For details and instructions on how to enter a Team, please go to the "Teams" section.

Special Registration Day
All categories including schools, Domain Athletics Centre, Tuesday 13 May 11.30 - 2.30. School entries will not be accepted at the Hobart Sports Centre.

Collection of Chest Numbers
Chest numbers will be available for collection from the Hobart Sports Centre between 9am and 5pm for anyone that registers for the event. Any chest numbers not collected will be posted on Mon 12 May.

Chest Numbers
Must be pinned to the front of your t-shirt/singlet. Runners not displaying the number and sponsors logos will not have their time recorded. Red bibs are for the 11km Run, Blue bibs are for the 7km Run, White bibs for the 7km Recreational Walk, Green bibs for the Boys and Pink bibs for the Girls in the 2.7km Primary School Run. Gold bibs for Corporate Teams.

Starting Time
All events will start at 9.00am promptly. Get there at least 15 minutes before the start and warm up by jogging and stretching legs, arms and trunk to avoid muscle strain. Keep well back from the starting line and move off slowly when the gun is fired. Any athletes under 12 years in 11km run must start at the rear of the field. Walkers may enter the 11km event and must start from the rear of the field. The 7km run is provided for the younger runners and those adults not wishing to run the longer distance. The 7km Recreational walk is not intended for serious competitive walkers, but for those who wish to compete in the City to Casino but do not wish to run. The 2.7km is for Primary School children only. Supervision of young children is the responsibility of the parents/guardians.

Late Entries
Will be taken at the start, but get there early and don't leave it until the last minute. Fees for entry on the day will be: Adults $25, Children $12, Child with parent (2.7km) $15. No Team Entries.

Toilets
Toilets will be available at the 11km Start, Cornelian Bay and St. David's Park.

Police
For the first part of the course runners will use the roadway until directed to the footpath for their own safety and the convenience of the public. Runners should obey Police and SES directions and be careful of the traffic. You do not have right of way. Walkers should not be more than 2 abreast.

Refreshments
Refreshment tables with cups of water will be provided at Cornelian Bay and in Sandy Bay Road near St. David's Park. Fruit and drinks will be available at the finish of the Fun Run.

The Finish
Runners finish along the promenade at Wrest Point - entering one of the processing chutes, choose the one with the fewest runners in it. At the end of the chute you will be handed a card showing your finishing time taken when you reach the table. Move to the next line of tables, handing your card to the officials who will also record your chest number. You will be given a certificate at this table, Red for 11 km, Blue for 7km run and walk, Green for 2.7 km. To eliminate congestion at these tables, please continue to move to the area in front of the presentation stage. All cards will be processed by computer, with full results in The Mercury on Tuesday, 20 May 2008.

General Information
All finishers under 2 hours will receive a certificate. Certificates will be awarded to all age category winners both Male & Female. Every entrant competes as an individual whether entered as a team member or not. The first three secondary school team members to finish will decide a team placing.

Buses
Depart from Wrest Point back to Cornelian Bay and Glenorchy at 10:30am and 10:45am.

*Warning
The Australian Little Athletic Union Medical Committee strongly recommends that children under 10 years should run no further than 3km and under 12 years no further than 5km.

Declaration
I have read the conditions of entry for this event and understand the demanding physical nature of the event. I have trained for this event and I am not aware of any medical condition or impairment that will be detrimental to my health if I participate in this event. In the event that I become aware of any medical condition or impairment, or am otherwise sick or injured prior to the event, I will withdraw from the event. I acknowledge that participating in this event may involve a real risk of serious injury or even death from various causes including; over exertion, dehydration, and accidents with other participants, spectators or road users. I acknowledge that it is a condition of participating in this event that I do so at my own risk. I accept all risk and release the event organiser, its agents, affiliates, employees, members, sponsors, promoters, volunteers, and any person or body, directly or indirectly associated with the event, from all claims, demands and proceedings arising out of or connected with my participation on this event and I indemnify them against all liability for all injury, loss or damage arising out of or connected with my participation in this event, however it may be caused, including negligence. Any terms which may be incorporated into this contract by statute or which may be implied by the Common Law relating to the quality or fitness for purpose of any equipment of facilities of the event organiser, it s agent, affiliates, employees, members, sponsors, promoters, volunteers and any person or body directly or indirectly associated with the event are, to the extent that it is lawfully possible, hereby excluded. I will additionally permit the free use of my name and pictures in broadcasts, telecasts and print. I agree to obey the event rules and any other instructions, as indicated by the organisers.
